The LT5 Miniloc
is designed to handle all of the same integrated GPS/AVL applications
as the LT4 Radio Modem. The difference is in the packaging and
performance. Designed specifically for GPS/AVL and simple text
and status messaging, the LT5 Miniloc is a cost effective
solution for a variety of AVL and Fleet Management applications.
The LT5 is also backwards compatible with the LT3 and LT4 Product
Line.

The generic radio
interface of the LT5 allows the modem to be used over a wide variety
of communication media.
The LT5 will
interface with virtually any two-way radio make and model, trunked
or conventional. Well suited for large dedicated data networks,
the LT5 also boasts several features that allow for operation over
shared voice and data networks. Other communication options include
circuit switched cellular, CDPD, and PCS. Position messages are
sent on an automatic timed basis or on command.
